Democracy Will Win, and the Traitors Will be held Accountable.

I am currently sitting on my couch, paralyzed with anger after reading an article in the Huffington Post reporting that there are multiple federal coup attempts being planned, some of which involve assassinating Democratic leaders and even Republicans who don’t side with Trump in overthrowing the election.

I am further angered and afraid because it seems very difficult, from where I sit far away in Northern Wisconsin, to determine if the some of the people in our U.S. military and police have not somehow been compromised to support a Trump coup.

The terribly weak display of police and military leadership last week worries me that some in their ranks won't do the right thing in future insurrections.

Finally, as if there’s not enough crazy happening in the rest of the country, I read yesterday in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the Republicans in St. Croix County, within my congressional district, are telling their members to prepare for war.

And finally, this morning, I read that Tony Evers has called in the National Guard to board up our capitol’s windows in preparation for violence.

Pardon my language, but I’m angry…

Screw the nutjobs in St. Croix County, and screw every elected representative in Wisconsin who has embraced Trump’s lies to further their own political careers.  

You have mislead your constituents and radicalized many of them to violence, based on nothing but lies and conspiracy theories spread by Trump and wacko websites making money off of gullible conservatives.

Tom Tiffany, Scott Fitzgerald, and Ron Johnson are the three Wisconsinites that are currently enabling violence and insurrection and they must be removed from Congress using the 14th amendment, the salient points of which are copied below:

“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, …who, having previously taken an oath, …to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

Democracy will win, and after it does, I will dedicate myself and my brewery to removing these legislators from power.  One idea on how to do that is to publish a list of all Northwoods businesses who have donated to Tom Tiffany or Ron Johnson in the past, and ask them to publicly renounce them, and help organize a boycott of any Northwoods business that donates to them going forward.  

Treason MUST have consequences, and those who support traitors must be held accountable.

The Minocqua Brewing Company started a Super PAC to get rid of Tiffany and Johnson for sedition and Assemblyman Rob Swearingen for his Covid negligence before this attempted coup even occurred, and we raised $25K in a week since the insurrection.

I’m talking to Wisconsin political organizers way smarter than me on how to best spend that money now to get these guys removed from office, or in the event that doesn’t happen, to either organize volunteers to knock on doors for the next two years or buy ads reminding every Northwoods voter what these guys have done when they face re-election in 2022.
